People who are travelling with children find some useful accessories that will help them throughout the stay: baby cots, highchairs, strollers, ruck-sacks. Guests’ pets are our friends: when they arrive they will find a mat and a bowl. In the neighborhood there are specialty stores for food and accessories.

For the environment

We are always interested in improving our hospitality service with a particular attention to environmental protection. In addition to our commitment, a greater awareness and cooperation from the part of the Guest is essential to reduce unnecessary consumption.
From our part, we:

From your part, you can help us using separate waste containers, leaving on the floor towels to be washed, turning the lights off when leaving.

ROYAL CAFFETTERIA

Imagine a magical place when you can enjoy the coffee of Savoia Royal Family, the chocolate of Duke Emanuele or typical marzipan pastry. Imagine the finest porcelain and the silver services; imagine an ancient loggia that runs along the ceiling of a tea room, … imagine that you are princes and princesses! You can really feel as a noble blood person when you cross the threshold of the Royal Caffetteria, a small pearl set in the Courtyard of Honours, at the ground floor at the Royal Palace of Turin. It is a unique coffee shop, built in the former location of the Greengrocery and the Library. The reorganization and readjustment of the coffee shop is the last step of the general restoration of the Royal Palace, after the great fire occurred in the Saint Chapel of the Holy Shroud.

CONSOLATA CHURCH - the “BICERIN”

People visiting Turin, cannot fail to taste the famous "BICERIN", which means "small glass" in regional dialect, and which is a typical Turin’s soft drink, made of coffee, chocolate and cream, served in round and transparent glasses. This drink can be found in all cafés, but tradition wants it served in an historical café: the “Bicerin”. It is located in the downtown of Turin, just in front of one of the most famous and beautiful churches of the town, Consolata Church, a charming building dating from the early Christian period, which over the centuries was subject to considerable changes, also thanks to Filippo Juvarra, the famous Architect, who, during the 1700s, brought baroque style in the town.

SELF-PORTRAIT by LEONARDO DA VINCI - ROYAL LIBRARY OF TURIN

Nobody knows that in the Royal Library of Turin, in Castello Square, there is the famous self-portrait by Leonardo Da Vinci. It was bought in 1839 by King Carlo Alberto - who founded in 1831 the Library - from a Collector of Chieri (a small village in the neighborhood of Turin). After World War II - with the acquisition from the part of the State of all properties of Savoy’s (completed just in 1970 for what is concerned the Library) - the Royal Library became a State Public Library and is currently managed by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism.

LAVAZZA COFFEE SHOP

At no. 10, San Tommaso Street, in the heart of downtown, there is the place where the famous production of "LAVAZZA” coffee company originated; its founder, Luigi Lavazza, who moved to Turin from a small village in the neighborhood of Alessandria, took over a small grocery store and made it into a coffee laboratory which continuously grow thanks to a clever use of mixing and has nowadays become the giant that we all know.
